Q: What happens if my pet gets sick after adoption?
All of our animals are examined by a licensed veterinarian and cleared before adoption. They are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for common illnesses to the best of our ability. However, just like people, pets can sometimes develop an illness after adoption that we could not have predicted. Once adopted, veterinary care becomes the responsibility of the adopter.

Q: Are animals guaranteed to be healthy?
We do everything possible to ensure our animals are healthy before going home, but no rescue can guarantee that an animal will never develop an illness or condition later. Our promise is that every animal receives the best possible care while with us, and we are honest and transparent about their known medical history.

Q: What if my new pet shows behavior issues?
Rescue animals often need time to adjust to their new home. We share what we know about each pet’s temperament, but sometimes new behaviors appear in new environments. We encourage patience, training, and communication with us if guidance is needed. We cannot be held responsible for unforeseen behaviors such as scratching, biting, or nervousness.

Q: What if I need support after adoption?
We care deeply about the long-term success of every adoption. While ongoing vet costs and training are the adopter’s responsibility, we are always here as a resource. Our volunteers may also provide follow-up visits and check-ins when available.

Q: Why is the adoption process so detailed?
Our application, background checks, and home visits are in place to protect the animals and ensure they are going into safe, loving, and permanent homes. We want each adoption to be a lifelong match.

Q: Is my adoption fee refundable?
No. All adoption fees are non-refundable. Adoption fees directly support the medical care, food, housing, and overall well-being of the animals in our rescue. Once an adoption is processed, these funds are immediately allocated to support our mission and cannot be returned.

However, we do understand that special circumstances may arise.
In rare cases, exceptions may be considered. Please contact us at:
